Lessons
Skiing is not learned standing in a line.
As a state-certified ski instructor and ski guide I prefer to teach privately or in small groups. That way the day follows your pace: someone standing on skis for the first time needs different exercises from someone who wants to carve more cleanly or finally feel secure on steep slopes.
We ski wherever the conditions happen to be best – on the Hausberg and the Kandahar, on the Zugspitzplatt or in the neighbouring ski areas. Which one it will be, we decide together in the morning.
Children
I have no fixed minimum age. What matters is whether it works for the child, and that usually shows in the first few minutes. With the smallest it often makes sense for a parent to come along. Just talk to me and we will work out what makes sense.
Meeting point and equipment
We normally meet at your accommodation in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, or wherever we agree. Bring your own equipment or borrow it from me – the rental is reachable around the clock, so you can get skis at short notice too.

Private lessons
Small group · 3 hours, per person
I do not charge a cancellation fee. Just let me know as early as you can if something comes up, so the date can still go to someone else. If the conditions force a change of plan, we will look for another objective or another day together.
Equipment, ski servicing and all further prices are listed under Rental & prices. If you would rather be out beyond the piste, have a look at ski touring.

Enquiries
A phone call or an email is all it takes.
Tell me briefly what you have in mind and what you have done so far. Then we will find the right tour and the right day. The surest time to reach me is after 4 pm; during the day I am usually in the mountains. Otherwise send me an email with a number to call back on and I will get in touch. I guide and teach in German and English.
