Ski touring & freeride
The track makes the day.
Ski touring means climbing, reading the terrain, weighing things up and skiing down. We start where the snow cover and the avalanche situation allow it, and along the way I explain why we choose exactly this track – so that next time you can judge the mountain better yourself.
For beginners that starts with straightforward objectives and an even ascent. If you already have experience, the Wetterstein and the neighbouring ranges hold plenty of slopes where it gets serious. We practise powder skiing wherever the snow is best on the day.
Avalanche courses
An avalanche course is about what counts when it happens: searching with the transceiver, probing, digging – and before that, about how not to end up in that situation at all. We practise in the field, not at a table. I am additionally trained in avalanche blasting.
Day and multi-day tours, abroad as well
I guide day tours and multi-day tours – across the border too, in the Eastern and Western Alps. In the Zugspitze region the shuttle to the starting point is part of the guiding fee.
Prices

Guiding and courses
Included and on request
The base price covers one person. Every further person costs a surcharge, and there are packages for families and groups – tell me how many of you there are and I will give you the price for your group. Touring skis, boots, transceiver, probe and shovel can be hired from me.
I do not charge a cancellation fee. Just let me know as early as you can if something comes up, so the date can still go to someone else. If the conditions force a change of plan, we will look for another objective or another day together.

The best slope is the one you also leave again.Robert Krinninger · State-certified mountain and ski guide
Enquiries
A phone call or an email is all it takes.
Tell me briefly what you have in mind and what you have done so far. Then we will find the right tour and the right day. The surest time to reach me is after 4 pm; during the day I am usually in the mountains. Otherwise send me an email with a number to call back on and I will get in touch. I guide and teach in German and English.
